PROJECT TEAM
The Project Team consists of five select designees from
the Village of Mundelein, as well as representatives from RTA, Metra, Pace
and URS. The Project Team will direct the study process on a regular basis.
The Village of Mundelein
Representatives from the Village include: two Village
Trustees, the Assistant Administrator, the Director of Community
Development, and a Village Planner.
URS
URS is a multidisciplinary professional services
organization with a technical staff that exceeds 26,000 persons worldwide.
URS has a significant presence in the Chicago area with offices in Rolling
Meadows and Downtown Chicago. An in-house staff of planners, architects,
transportation planners, and support personnel enables URS to manage all
phases of a project from inception and planning, through implementation.
Regional Transportation Authority (RTA)
As the administrator of the RTAP grant, the RTA oversees
the progress of the project and ensures that the process adheres to the
project scope and that throughout concept development the plan emphasizes
transportation and focus on access and circulation to the station area.
Metra
Metra representatives on the Project Team serve as
advisors to help create a successful transit-oriented development. As the
commuter rail service provider for the Chicago metropolitan area, Metra's
goal is to provide rail service in a way that is blended best into the
community.
Pace
Pace has the goal of providing additional bus service to
compliment both increased future rail service and new development around the
Metra Station.
PROJECT ADVISORY BOARD (PAB)
A committee comprised of Mundelein residents, business
owners, and other stakeholders were invited by the Village to become members
of the Project Advisory Board (PAB), who will provide input during the study
process and will meet with the Project Team at strategic points throughout
the project.
