The Village of Mundelein and the
Police Department have adopted a policy of “Zero Tolerance.”
In order to gain the support of the community and to educate everyone for
the signs of gang involvement, a presentation has been developed for small
groups and organizations.
The Police Department has taken a leading role in fighting gangs both in
our community and in the Lake County area.
With the support of the Village of Mundelein, the Police Department was
the catalyst for the formation of the Lake County Gang Task Force.
This task force is made up of specially trained officers from many Lake
County police departments who share intelligence information and assist
communities with manpower and resources if a gang problem occurs.
