The Mundelein Police Department, internationally accredited and nationally recognized as a leader in Community Oriented Policing, is seeking applicants for the position of Police Officer. The members of the Department work as a team to provide high quality service and protection to the community.
The Mundelein Police Department offers a wide variety of career paths and specialty assignments. Competitive benefits and a starting salary of $54,908. Minimum requirements for the position of police officer are:

• Must be between 21 and 34 years of age (unless currently a police officer in Illinois)
• Must be legal resident of the United States
• Valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency

This job announcement includes a description of the duties, responsibilities, requisite skills and other minimum qualifications or requirements. All informational packets must be completed and returned to the Mundelein Police Department by 5 p.m. on September 6, 2010. Testing process begins on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Applicants must complete the Testing Information Packets which are available beginning 9 a.m. on Monday, August 23 and must be completed and returned by Sunday, September 6, 2010.  The written and physical agility tests will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 7 a.m. at Mundelein High School, 1350 West Hawley Street, Mundelein, IL.
