The Police Department’s Bike Safety Program visits the elementary schools on an annual basis. Officers instruct children on the benefits of bicycle safety operations, while building a positive relationship between the police department and the children of the community. Officers have appeared on NBC-TV to promote the bike safety program which teaches such topics as bicycle maintenance, proper wearing of helmets, bicycle safety laws and much more.
